Grouptyre is the UK’s leading independent tyre wholesaler and will be at MechanEx to demonstrate how small auto servicing and MOT businesses can increase their profits by selling tyres.
Grouptyre managing director Karl Naylor is presenting a 30-minute workshop entitled Maximise profit through tyre sales, which will highlight how the tyre distribution industry has evolved during the past decade and why now is a good time for independent garages to add tyre fitting to their range of services.
On stand B9 the Grouptyre team will discuss the opportunities and carry out some simple profit calculations to underline just how much extra profit MechanEx visitors could generate from tyres.
“Many small, independent garages carry out a tyre check as part of a vehicle service or MOT, but then pass up the real profit by outsourcing the supply and fitting of new tyres to a tyre specialist or a fast fit chain,” says Mr Naylor.
“Tyre sales really can translate into valuable extra business, especially in the current economic climate, and we can support garages by stocking the competitively priced products they need, delivering them on time and helping them access sensibly priced tyre fitting equipment.”
