Rob Hunt, proprietor of Rob’s Heanor Tyres in Langley Mill on the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border is celebrating after scooping a Red Letter Day experience worth £500 in the latest Grouptyre/Federal national promotion.
A customer of Grouptyre member We Sell Tyres for around 10 years and a longstanding Federal supplier, Rob’s Heanor Tyres won the top prize in the first of two promotions organised by Grouptyre, the UK’s leading independent tyre wholesaler, and value brand Federal. Car Tyrestore customer Lawden Tyre Service in Birmingham and Nant Conwy Tyres, which is based in Llanrwst, Gwynedd and is supplied by Oak Tyres, each won runner up prizes of a Red Letter Day experience to the value
of £250.
Each of the retailers was entered into the first of two national prize draws based on their purchases of Federal high performance, light truck, 4×4 and SUV tyres during the promotional period. Entries were based on two for every Federal UHP tyre purchased and one for every other Federal product and the winners were selected at random.
“I’m not a gambling man and don’t really tend to enter competitions, so winning the Red Letter Day promotion has come as quite a surprise, to say the least,” says Rob, who has spent most of his career in the tyre industry and has been selling and fitting tyres in the Langley Mill area for the past 25 years.
“At the moment, I have no idea what to spend the voucher on. Before I make up my mind I’m going to have a good look on the Red Letter Day website as I’d like to choose something I can share with my wife.”
All three retailers can decide how and when they want to spend their prize money.
