Grouptyre, the UK’s leading independent tyre wholesaler, and premium tyre manufacturer Pirelli are delighted that their decision to run another national incentive targeting the independent retail tyre trade generated lots of interest, with hundreds of dealers nationwide registering their participation in the promotion to win one of several fantastic prizes.

Maxxis reports that the Maxxis Rewards programme, the new dealer support initiative it has developed in conjunction with exclusive UK distributor Grouptyre, is going down a storm and the first group of winners have taken delivery of their prizes.

Strathclyde Police in conjunction with the Wishaw Crime Prevention Panel teamed up with local Tyre and Exhaust Dealers – Cooper Brothers of Newmains for another evening of driver education and awareness. MT Wholesale has come up with an innovative way of streamlining inventory control – it is implementing a new barcode-based, wireless IT system to track incoming goods, check current stock levels and monitor tyres being despatched from its warehouse.

We Sell Tyres (Wholesale) sales team visited the Williams Formula One factory in Grove, Oxfordshire. The group, who were guests of F1 tyre supplier Bridgestone, enjoyed a guided tour of the factory, including the machine shops and assembly line, the interactive museum and the conference facilities.

As a full member of TyreSafe, the not for profit, non commercial organisation set up to raise awareness of the dangers of defective and worn tyres, Grouptyre was a keen supporter of Tyre Safety Month (October), when the spotlight was on the safety and economic issues associated with driving with incorrect tyre pressures.
